William H. Bender’s work with PerformanceScope clients begins with on-site location visits. Bill performs a thorough discovery/opportunity process followed by a situation analysis and strategy session with PerformanceScope.
The deliverable is a custom ServPoints Sequence of Service (SSOS) training program. ServPoints are choreographed for each client’s guest experience strategy and are aligned with brand and operations initiatives. Bill has helped clients achieve all-new revenue levels, overall execution and team performance that transform company culture.
Bill founded W.H. Bender & Associates in 1990 and has an extensive operations and consulting background. He has held management and director positions at all levels for private and publicly owned restaurant companies. His industry expertise and tight focus on restaurant fundamentals obtain results for clients.
Bill is a Professional Member of the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI). Bill is now serving a three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of the California Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

Neil Culbertson is the founder and president of Growth Partners, a leading brand and marketing consulting firm. Neil has spent his career successfully growing brands for top 100 restaurant chains and Fortune 500 consumer product companies. Neil brings his CMO-level expertise to PerformanceScope clients assisting with brand alignment, brand strategy and marketing.
Before starting Growth Partners in 2003, Neil was chief marketing officer for Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, a unique 400 unit casual dining concept, which enjoyed a favorable initial public offering in 2002. He also has hands-on experience in both the fast casual and quick service sectors with Boston Market and Taco Bell.
Neil is a classically trained marketer with an MBA in marketing from Northwestern University. Growth Partners is proud to have helped companies such as Darden, Burger King, Bennigan’s, Rockfish, First Watch, Ecolab, Rock Bottom, Quiznos, Shakey’s, and TGI Friday’s. Neil currently serves on the executive boards of Junior Achievement and Temple Sinai, and lives in suburban Denver with his wife, Sandy, and their three children.
Shep Hyken – St. Louis, MO
Shep Hyken, CSP, CPAE is the CAO (Chief Amazement Officer of Shepard Presentations. As a speaker and author, Shep works with companies who want to build loyal relationships with their customers and employees. His customer service articles have been read in hundreds of publications, and he is the author of Moments of Magic™, The Loyal Customer and the Wall Street Journal best selling book The Cult of the Customer. In 1983 Shep founded Shepard Presentations and since then has worked with hundreds of companies and associations on their customer service and loyalty initiatives. Some of his clients include American Airlines, American Express, Aetna, AAA, Anheuser-Busch, AT&T, Abbott Laboratories - and that's just a few of the A's!
Shep mixes important information with entertainment (humor and magic) to create exciting programs for his audiences. His main speaking topics focus on the customer experience, customer loyalty, customer service, internal service, business relationships (customers and employees) and a motivational program titled You Are the Magic!
